My name is Vince Law and I'm an independent Product Management Consultant, AI Coach & Educator, Advisor, Professor, and Writer.
My product management & development experience spans 20+ years across B2B & B2C products in industries such as education, gaming, financial services, SaaS, telecomm, and manufacturing. Most recently, I served as the Interim Head of Product at OnDeck. Previously, I served as the head of Product Management at General Assembly, reporting directly to the CEO. I directly managed 15+ PMs across multiple levels while leading strategic planning and budgeting for product, engineering, design, and instructional design—a combined organization of 100+ people and an estimated $15M+ annual budget. Prior to that, I spent years in mobile and social gaming, launching multiple Top-100 Free and Top-100 Grossing titles on iOS and Android. In a former life, I was a Business Process Consultant, Project Manager, and Mechanical Engineer.
Now, as a Consultant, Advisor, and Coach, I help product teams find and define long-term success by discovering the right strategies that maximize success for their customers. I also help product leaders and their teams become AI-native—not just automating tasks, but integrating AI into strategic decision-making, research synthesis, and day-to-day product workflows. As AI commoditizes execution speed, I believe the competitive edge shifts to strategy—and I help teams make that transition. Over 12+ years of managing and mentoring PMs, 9+ years of executive coaching for VPs and CPOs, and having trained thousands of product managers through corporate programs, workshops, and MBA courses, I also “teach teams how to fish” by growing and optimizing their capabilities through highly interactive, discussion-driven and application-focused training so they can ship exceptional products even after I've long ended my engagement with them.
I teach in UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business MBA program and Berkeley ExecEd, where I direct the PM Studio program. Courses I teach include “Product Management,” “New Product Development,” “AI-Powered Product Management Crash Course,” and “0→1 Product Management with AI.” I also built OTUS, an AI-powered learning and coaching platform that uses LLMs to help product managers learn their craft and make better strategic decisions—with a core focus on AI safety, rigorous evaluation frameworks, and systematic hallucination mitigation.
